I had a mix of experiences during my stay. While I appreciated the newly renovated room and the breakfast spread, the overall service left much to be desired, especially with the lack of communication about areas being under renovation. The location is quite remote, making it inconvenient for accessing Rjukan and other attractions, but the area is beautiful for hiking.
